The piece exemplifies Bernard Moore’s technical mastery of transmutation glazes, achieved through precise control of kiln atmosphere and firing temperature. His work is celebrated for its rich colour harmonies and subtle surface depth, characteristic of the finest British art pottery of the early twentieth century. Painted mark to base.
