Puritan Values offers specialist services built on decades of research, restoration and connoisseurship in the
Arts and Crafts Movement, Aesthetic Movement, Anglo-Japanese Movement, Gothic Revival, Art Nouveau,
period furniture and British decorative arts from circa 1850 to circa 1950.
Each service is designed to support collectors, designers, museums and private clients who work with historic art furniture and important works of art.

Archive service
Tony Geering has curated a significant archive documenting furniture and works of art from the Arts and Crafts Movement, Gothic Revival, Aesthetic Movement, Anglo Japanese style and Art Nouveau.
This growing database contains detailed images, research, provenance notes and design comparisons for works by many of the most important designers and makers in these fields. It also includes examples from Tony’s private study collection.
Membership: £10 per month or £100 per year.
Appraisal service
We provide a research and identification service where clients may send photographs of items to be assessed. This includes guidance on designer, maker, period, movement and decorative history.
With more than 40 years' expertise, Tony Geering and a small group of trusted specialists offer clear and authoritative appraisals and valuations suitable for insurance records or private documentation.
Fee: £50 for an instant appraisal.
Research service
If you are searching for a particular piece, our archive and established network often allow us to locate rare and significant works, even when they are not listed publicly.
Delivery service
We provide a dedicated and experienced delivery service for antiques, ensuring careful handling and safe transportation of valuable works of art. Learn more
