This dining table in oak, made in the Arts and Crafts style c.1900, follows the design vocabulary associated with Liberty and Co. The rectangular top is constructed from plain-sawn boards with a shallow moulded edge above shaped corner brackets that curve into the aprons.
The legs are square in section, flaring subtly at the base, and joined by a central stretcher with pegged mortise-and-tenon joints, giving structural integrity and visual weight. The form combines simple geometric lines with sculpted details typical of Liberty’s workshop designs for domestic interiors.
