A hand-blown Vaseline glass shade dating to c.1900, formed with a bell body rising to a short collar and finished with a broad, softly ruffled rim. The glass carries a moulded swirl pattern that wraps continuously around the surface, catching light across the satin, opalescent uranium matrix typical of Arts and Crafts lighting. Designed for pendant or wall use, the fitter aperture measures 2.8 cm / 1.10 in, allowing accurate pairing with period galleries. The disciplined, organic profile and restrained ornament exemplify turn-of-the-century British craftsmanship, where functional clarity and subtle surface movement were preferred over heavy decoration.
