Albert Eagleman Jeffray

Albert Eagleman Jeffray (1937–2013) was a respected British furniture maker known for his handcrafted work in the Arts and Crafts tradition. He trained under the renowned Robert “Mouseman” Thompson in Kilburn from 1954 to 1966, just before setting up his own workshop in Sessay, North Yorkshire. Jeffray’s pieces are typically carved in solid English oak and often feature his signature carved eagle motif, a nod to the famous “Mouse” trademark of his mentor. His work is highly regarded for its craftsmanship, traditional joinery, and understated elegance.
