Archibald Knox (1864–1933) was a Manx designer whose work bridged the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, and Celtic Revival movements. Born on the Isle of Man, Knox was deeply influenced by its Celtic and Norse heritage. He trained at the Douglas School of Art and later taught at Kingston School of Art. Knox is best known for his groundbreaking metalwork and jewelry designs for Liberty & Co., particularly the Tudric and Cymric lines. His work combined fluid, modern forms with interlaced Celtic motifs, reflecting his belief in uniting beauty with order. He also created illuminated manuscripts and gravestone designs rooted in Manx symbolism.
