Stephen Webb (1862–1933) was a British designer, metalworker, and teacher known for his contributions to the decorative arts and the Arts and Crafts movement. He studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London and later became head of the metalwork department at the Birmingham School of Art. Webb was highly regarded for his expertise in silver, bronze, and other metals, creating finely crafted objects that combined technical precision with artistic detail. His designs often featured classical and naturalistic motifs, rendered in low relief or engraving, and were used for items such as plaques, medals, trophies, and decorative panels. In addition to his own work, Webb was a respected educator who influenced a generation of metalworkers and designers through his teaching and publications. His contributions helped to elevate the status of decorative metalwork in early 20th-century Britain, blending traditional skills with a strong sense of design and purpose.
