Large Aesthetic Movement Celery Glass Vase, Hand Blown & Engraved, c.1885
£180
Celery glass vase in clear glass, aligned to the Aesthetic Movement, c.1885. Hand-blown in two parts and hand-engraved with bands of stars and linked geometric motifs, the tall ovoid bowl rising on a knopped stem and broad foot. The decoration is crisp yet restrained, allowing light to play through the engraving. Scaled for dining room service or as a decorative vessel on a sideboard, it presents the clean geometry and fine line typical of late-Victorian Aesthetic taste.
