Austrian Art Nouveau Twin-Handled Vase c.1900

£275

Twin-handled vase in ceramic from the Art Nouveau movement (1890–1910), c.1900, of Austrian origin. The tall ovoid body rises to a narrow neck flanked by integrated handles, with stylised floral panels to each side in low relief beneath a soft iridescent glaze. The refined modelling and flowing symmetry typify Central European Art Nouveau design, combining formal restraint with decorative abstraction that emphasised line and surface harmony in Austrian ceramics of the period.
