This archive is a selection of important E. W. Godwin and attributed Godwin pieces previously collected by Tony Geering and Puritan Values.
Tony has been collecting and researching Godwin’s furniture for over 40 years, with a focus on his Anglo-Japanese and Aesthetic Movement designs. The works shown here represent the type of rare, advanced and historically significant pieces by Godwin that have passed through Puritan Values over the years.
This archive is intended as a record of notable sold pieces, design comparisons and important examples connected to Godwin’s influence on late Victorian furniture, the Aesthetic Movement and the development of modern design. Also reflecting Tony’s long-standing journey rediscovering, documenting and placing Godwin’s work.
