Glasgow School, G. M. Ellwood Style. Arts & Crafts Enamel Towel Rail
A Glasgow School towel rail in the style of G. M. Ellwood, probably made by J. S. Henry, with arched cresting rails, three horizontal bars, and square-section supports on stepped feet. Finished in white enamel paint.
The Glasgow School was a progressive movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, combining Arts & Crafts ideals with Art Nouveau geometry, producing designs that were both functional and modern in spirit, often with clean lines and subtle stylisation.
