By Dr Christopher Dresser for Minton, a set of twenty two enamelled ceramic tiles aligned to the Aesthetic Movement (1860 to 1900), c.1900. Each 8 inch square tile carries Dresser’s crisp geometric and foliate repeats, with Greek key borders enclosing a central stylised flower in layered blues on a glazed ground. The graphic symmetry and disciplined line work reflect Dresser’s reforming design language, combining bold ornament with durable, hygienic surfaces suited to fireplaces, dados or splashbacks.
