A rare set of 18 Anglo-Japanese cast iron stair or/and balcony balustrades, including the original knurl post, making 19 pieces in total. There are 11 with round bar extensions to the bases, which fit into pre-drilled holes in the side of a staircase, and another seven with circular plates to the bases. These have three screw holes in each to screw them to the staircase sides or the base of a balcony. Both fixings could be modified to match.

This design was registered at the Public Records Office on 15th November, 1872. Staircase knurl post measures:

  • Height: 36" inches
  • Width: x
  • Depth: 6" inches

The height of the balustrades varies, with the top bars a little longer than others. They all measure from between 35.5 inches tall and 37 inches tall.
