Probably for Collier and Plucknett, in the style of E. W. Godwin, this is an exaggerated high-back Anglo-Japanese ebonised armchair with pyramid finials and a Japanese-style fretwork back, curved arms above a rush seat, step-tapering front legs united by a corresponding front stretcher, and splayed back legs.
