An Aesthetic Movement Walnut Metamorphic Coal Box
The handle, when pulled back, mechanically opens the two doors at the front, which have brass panels depicting herons eating fish in a river scene with bulrushes and birds above them.
The original internal tin liner has worn through and could easily be restored by a competent metalworker.
