Charles Bevan (attributed). A Gothic Revival oak side chair with rounded details to the upper backrest rail flanked by shaped uprights with carved and ebonized zig-zag bands to the top, and carved triangular details within the carved roundels, and a pierced lower backrest. A-frame legs with rounded supports to the seat front, through tenon details, the ends with subtle carved decoration. Professionally reupholstered in a quality tan leather. This design has a similar feel to Charles Bevan's registered reclining chair made under license by Marsh, Jones and Cribb.
