E. W. Godwin, attributed. Aesthetic Movement Circular Wine or Side Table with Five Legs
POA
This piece is being held for an exhibition dedicated to the furniture designed by E. W. Godwin, to be held at the Bröhan Museum in Berlin next spring.
Edward William Godwin attributed, an aesthetic movement circular wine table
The five turned legs are united by a circular under tier. The legs of this table are identical to those of the ebonized side tables that were made by William Watt. The use of five legs also points us towards E. W. Godwin's use of multiple legs on tables in his designs.
