Aesthetic Movement ebonised and parcel gilt walnut nursing chair, with a carved lotus flower, and ring turned legs with original brass and ceramic casters, the casters stamped with a Patent Office mark for 25th March 1875. Stamped Ogden Manchester.

The details in this chair show striking stylistic similarities to Dr Christopher Dresser's designs for furniture.

The top rail and seat have been professionally re-upholstered in a quality hide.
