Attributed to Henry William Batley, probably for Gillows of Lancaster. An Aesthetic Movement walnut cabinet with fine finials and a fretwork gallery to the top, above a glazed cupboard flanked by upper open display areas with fretwork galleries and conforming fine finials. Further open display areas sit below, with fine inlaid floral decoration to the backs.
The central section features an open work area with three bevelled mirrors to the back and three drawers below, above an open display area and a cupboard decorated with central sunflowers and fine floral inlays, fitted with stylised handles and hinges. This is flanked by additional open display areas with fretwork galleries, and an open display area to the base. The cabinet stands on slender turned legs.
