Arts and Crafts, c.1900 Oak Inlaid Overmantel
£2,500
An oak overmantel dating to c.1900, designed in the Arts and Crafts Movement style. The frame is constructed in solid quarter-sawn oak with a central bevelled mirror flanked by panelled uprights and an upper display shelf. Decorative floral inlay enriches the frieze, demonstrating fine cabinetmaking and the integration of natural motifs typical of the period. The piece reflects the Arts and Crafts commitment to craftsmanship and honest material expression within domestic architecture and interior design.
