Side table in walnut, attributed to E. W. Godwin, aligned to the Aesthetic Movement (1860–1890), c.1875, British. The table has an octagonal top with rounded moulded edge, set above shaped aprons and a light open underframe.

The whole stands on four slender ring-turned legs, slightly splayed at the feet and joined by a double row of fine turned stretchers. The form is spare and architectural, with most of the design carried by the octagonal top, curved apron line and repeated horizontal rails below.
