Two-tier trolley in wrought iron and glass, French, Mid-Century Modern (1950–1970), c.1965. The rectangular iron frame stands on original castors and includes two inset glass shelves. The upper shelf is framed by decorative hand-forged scrollwork on each side, and the legs have a hammered texture typical of French atelier metalwork of the period. The design marries decorative craft and mobility suited to mid-century interiors.

Furniture of this type emerged in France as iron ateliers responded to post-war demand for elegant yet functional furniture. The free-form scrollwork and glass shelving reflect the period’s fusion of artisanal metalworking and modern living, offering a mobile display piece that possesses both structural clarity and ornamental refinement.
