E. W. Godwin, In the Style of. Aesthetic Movement Japonesque Walnut Shelf

An Aesthetic Movement Japonesque walnut wall display shelf in the style of E. W. Godwin, with elongated turned finials and brass galleries around the tops of the upper and larger lower extended sides, which all have incised quarter rosette decoration below the side shelves.

The front has incised vertical and horizontal line details representing Japanese basket weaving, with a glazed door and glazed side to the centre, and a bevelled mirror to the back (there is a small crack to the corner of the mirror). A further mirrored shelf sits below, with a straight brass gallery and scroll decoration to the base.
