Jas Shoolbred, Attributed – Aesthetic Movement Oak Octagonal Side Table
£1,800
By Jas Shoolbred & Co., attributed, an octagonal side table in oak aligned to the Aesthetic Movement (1870–1900), c.1885. The well-figured octagonal top sits on four ring-turned uprights above a central shelf, the legs united by lower cross stretchers. The clean geometry and refined turning suit parlour or hallway use as an occasional table.
The combination of octagonal top with chamfered edges, ring-turned legs, central shelf and X-form stretchers, a vocabulary recorded on late-19th-century Shoolbred occasional tables. Materials, scale and quality align with London retail production of the period while remaining unsigned, hence the cautious attribution.
