Charles Edward Horton for Lamb of Manchester. A rare Aesthetic Movement ebonised walnut octagonal eight-leg centre table with a veneered Macassar Ebony top and a moulded edge and shaped aprons below united by four upper turned stretchers.
The centre of the lower shelf with veneered Macassar Ebony and a raised Thebes style gallery of which the top rail crosses each other uniting to the eight shaped feet, with incised tramline decoration, standing on the original castors.
A highly accomplished and timeless design.
