Liberty & Co attributed – Arts & Crafts oak side table with Moorish apron
£1,800
Side table in oak, aligned to the Arts and Crafts Movement, c.1890. A refined two-tier arrangement with a square lower shelf and a shaped Moorish apron tucked beneath the top. Turned supports lift the composition, the slight splay and chamfering keeping the form visually light while remaining practical for everyday use. The square plan makes it adaptable as an occasional table, lamp stand or bedside.
The scalloped apron provides the single decorative flourish, its Moorish outline lending rhythm without excess. Proportions are careful and workmanlike, expressing the plain honesty associated with Liberty & Co workshop production of the late nineteenth century.
