H. W. Batley attributed

An Anglo-Japanese ebonised chaise lounge or day bed with an upholstered arm and seven incised fine turnings in a fan shape to the centre, flanked by turned uprights with an upper turned finial to the end of the square and a turned upright below.

The curving buttoned backrest, with an incised fan-shaped detail to its base, stood on turned legs retaining the original brass and white ceramic castors. Ready for upholstery, which our traditional upholsterer can carry out if required.
