Arts and Crafts, c.1900 Copper-Bound Oak Plant Stand
£500
An oak plant stand dating to c.1900, designed in the Arts and Crafts Movement style. The tall square frame is constructed in solid oak with copper banding secured by hand-riveted studs, highlighting the material honesty central to the movement’s ideals. The upper section forms a deep planter box above a practical lower shelf, unified by clean vertical lines and simple structural symmetry. The contrast between the warm oak grain and the aged copper detailing gives the piece both visual richness and architectural presence.
