Clear Glass Shade with Holophane Texture & Teardrop Shape
£250
Glass shade in clear moulded glass, of the Arts and Crafts movement (1880–1910), c.1900. The rounded teardrop body carries a close Holophane prismatic grid that refracts and spreads the light to deliver even illumination while softening glare. The clean profile sits neatly to the gallery, its ordered geometry expressing the practical clarity valued in the later movement. Scaled for pendant fittings, small ceiling roses or wall lights where clear but gentle light is preferred. A functional, well-made shade with a lively optical surface and an assured presence.
Aperture (gallery/lamp hole): 8.5 cm (3.35 in)
