In the style of E. W. Godwin. A scarce Aesthetic Movement ebonized music chair with a higher than usual newly laid rush seat.
The top shaped head rail features three spiralling carved rosettes and three elongated turned supports to the back, with tramline incised line decoration to the headrest and main side supports.
Turned and incised front legs are united by a turned front stretcher, with elegant splayed back legs giving a little more stability.
Perfect for a double bass player, harpist, guitarist, or a breakfast bar. Seat height: 54 cm.
