French Art Nouveau Blue Glazed Ceramic Water Jug c.1900
£275
French ceramic water jug aligned to the Art Nouveau movement (c.1890–1914), c.1900. The tall, shouldered body rises to a flared neck and rim, the surface organised into moulded vertical panels framing stylised sea creatures in low relief. A soft blue glaze pools gently in the recesses, emphasising the sculptural quality of the decoration and catching the light around the rounded belly and shoulders. Originally conceived as a domestic water jug, it now reads equally well as a decorative vase or focal object.
