A hand-painted water jug aligned to the Gothic Revival movement (1840–1880), c.1900. Bulbous body rising to a short neck with everted lip and strap handle, the surface decorated with concentric bands and a frieze of small diamonds, dots and stylised roundels, with a Registered Design lozenge for June 1871 at the bottom of the jug.
