An Aesthetic Movement mantel clock with hand painted floral decoration and sunflower to the dial, flanked by tramway details with fretted decorations on turned supports. It features a lower shelf and turned gallery on splayed feet with elongated sunflower decoration to the sides. The clock is signed to the dial Howell James & Co., to the Queen, London. An identical shorter version is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
