Aesthetic Movement Black Marble Brass Gong-Striking Mantel Clock

A rare and wonderful Aesthetic Movement black marble and brass gong-striking mantel clock with brass finials and a brass gallery to the top, just below which are hand-painted porcelain panels depicting the signs of the Zodiac and an Arabic-numeral 6.5-inch dial with a hand-painted sunburst to the centre, flanked by quarter florets in each corner.

The base has hand-painted porcelain 'four seasons', some with a little wear.
