A teardrop-shaped Vaseline glass shade dating to c.1900, designed in the Arts and Crafts Movement style. The elongated form is hand-blown with a spiral ribbed pattern that twists evenly around the body, giving a dynamic sense of motion and light refraction. The glass transitions subtly in tone, typical of Vaseline glass with its faint opalescent sheen. Measuring 10 in (25.4 cm) high and 5.5 in (13.97 cm) wide, this shade would have been used for a pendant or ceiling fitting, reflecting the craftsmanship and simplicity valued in early 20th-century decorative glasswork.
