A bronze figure by B. V. Fernandez (active c.1920s), mounted on a stepped onyx base, produced in Uruguay around c.1920. The sculpted female form, captured mid-motion with an arm raised aloft, reflects the vitality and elegance central to Art Deco design. The simplified planes, flowing drapery, and sense of upward movement convey both classical influence and modernist rhythm.
