Arts and Crafts Style Silver-Plated Punch Bowl on Scroll Stand with Ladle
£800
An EPNS punch bowl with matching ladle on a scroll wire stand, aligned to late Arts and Crafts taste, c.1925–1935. The spun copper bowl is silver-plated and fitted with three small cast “shell” pads that seat it on the stand’s top ring. The detachable stand is formed from brazed wire with swept scrolls, and the ladle has a twisted stem and playful loop finial. The light wirework, EPNS construction and shell seating pads are characteristic of British interwar entertaining ware from the Sheffield/Birmingham trade.
Unmarked. Construction (spun EPNS bowl, brazed wire stand, shell pads, twisted-stem ladle) is consistent with British interwar production. Absence of German WMF ostrich or big Sheffield house stamps suggests a smaller UK workshop rather than a major branded firm.
