W. A. S. Benson – Arts and Crafts Copper and Brass Kettle with Hoop Handle

£180

By W. A. S. Benson, a copper and brass kettle aligned to the Arts and Crafts movement (1880–1910), c.1900. The broad-bellied body rises to a low domed lid with a small turned finial; a tall arched brass handle springs from simple sockets, balanced by a slender projecting spout. The spare, utility-led silhouette and mixed metals reflect Benson’s workshop vocabulary of honest construction and refined everyday forms.
