Single Outwards Turning Vaseline Shade with Delicate Pleated Detailing
£280
British, c.1900. A single Vaseline glass shade with a softly flared profile turning outward at the rim. The surface displays a faint opalescent bloom characteristic of late nineteenth- to early twentieth-century Arts & Crafts Movement glass. Fine pleated shaping radiates from the crown, giving subtle rhythm to the light when illuminated. Likely intended for a small pendant or wall fitting, this shade illustrates the delicate hand-worked forming associated with period lighting glass.
