Liberty & Co., Attributed – Arts and Crafts walnut Anglo-Japanese armchair

£1,200

By Liberty & Co (attributed), an Anglo-Japanese walnut armchair aligned to the Arts and Crafts movement (1880–1910), c.1900. The tall, gently raked back and square seat sit within a light walnut frame. Wavy arm supports continue through to the side stretchers, a hallmark of Anglo-Japanese line and construction, with plain square legs and simple rails that keep the emphasis on proportion. Upholstered back and seat in patterned fabric present cleanly.
