Bruce Talbert for Gillows, Aesthetic Movement Walnut Octagonal Table

Price on Application

This item is price on application due to its rarity and importance.

Bruce Talbert for Gillows. A walnut octagonal table aligned with the Aesthetic Movement (1860–1890), c.1880. The form follows Talbert’s characteristic use of architectural lightness, geometric clarity and repeated turning details. The last image is a line drawing of a known Bruce Talbert desk design. We can see the same details in the turnings on the legs and stretchers, particularly the through joints of the stretchers uniting with and following through the legs.
