Gouda Holland, Pottery Bowl, with Colourful Flowers, Marked in Blue to the Base

By Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (Gouda Holland mark), an earthenware bowl aligned to the Art Nouveau movement (1890–1910), c.1900. Shallow circular form with a broad bevelled rim and recessed well, decorated with tube lined foliate motifs in ochre, olive, white and cobalt on a terracotta ground. The base carries a blue Gouda Holland mark with painted numerals consistent with early PZH production.

Marked in blue to the base 1843 Plato Holland V.
