Charles Edward Horton for Lamb of Manchester. Stamped to the brass door lock. A fine Aesthetic Movement breakfront bookcase made from quarter sawn oak, with a raised back to the top, fluted decoration below the top display area flanked by carved florets, further carved floral detail to the door, and ebonised line decoration to the front. It opens to reveal four adjustable bookshelves, with further open adjustable bookshelves to each side, surrounded by ebonised line details to the edges.
