Wheel-Turned Clear Glass Shade with Peacock Feather Design c.1900

£450

Glass shade in clear hand-blown glass from the Arts and Crafts Movement (1880–1910), c.1900. The design features a tear-drop form with wheel-turned and trailed ornament creating stylised peacock feather motifs. The upper section has a diamond-textured finish that refracts light softly when illuminated. With an 8 cm gallery opening, the shade was made for early electric pendant fittings, reflecting the transition from oil to electric lighting in the early twentieth century.
