This item is price on application due to its rarity and importance.
E. W. Godwin attributed Two Anglo-Japanese Aesthetic Movement ebonised armchairs. One has been professionally reupholstered with embossed gilded leather sunflower heads replicating those on furniture E. W. Godwin designed for Lord Limerick's Dromore Castle in Ireland in the early 1870s . This one has castors on the back legs.
The second one retains the original Aesthetic Movement fabric and, although the fabric is highly worn in places and will require re-upholstery, it is rare to see.
