E. G. Punnett attributed

Probably made by William Birch and retailed by Goodyers of Regent Street. This is an Arts and Crafts oak wing-back hall chair using flat-sided construction. The headrest is inlaid with sycamore tulips on ebonised stems ending with tiny hearts, retaining the original leather backrest and a mature, possibly original, drop-in rush seat.

It has flowing arched aprons below the seat, with pierced hearts to the arched back feet.
