This Arts and Crafts brass wall light was made around 1900 and reflects the restrained practicality typical of late nineteenth-century domestic fittings. The scrolled brass arm rises from a circular backplate and supports a single lamp holder.
Its simple, well-balanced design represents British vernacular lighting design, where solid materials and unadorned craftsmanship defined the period aesthetic. The shade shown is for display only and not included in the sale
